Literaturhaus Basel

Basel has a long tradition as a city of books. After all, the oldest publishing house in the world is here, as is a working paper mill where you can even produce paper yourself. Furthermore, since the year 2000 Basel has also had the first Literaturhaus in Switzerland. In the premises located at no. 3 Barfüssergasse, visitors can meet with other keen readers and discuss newly published novels, write texts themselves, fill themselves with passion for reading or participate in public readings.
