The world’s longest pedestrian and cyclist suspension bridge links the German town of Weil am Rhein in southern Baden with Huningue in Alsace, France. The Dreiländerbrücke (Three Countries Bridge) has won prizes for its outstanding architecture.

You can walk across the bridge from France to Germany or vice versa in just a few minutes, taking in a view of the Swiss Rhine port.
The bridge over the Rhine, 248 metres in length, designed by Austrian architect Dietmar Feichtinger has won several awards. The German Brückenbaupreis (Bridge Construction Prize), the Arthur G. Hayden Medal and the most famous engineering prize in the world of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) make the Dreiländerbrücke a further architectural highlight in the region.
