Elsässertor
Elsässertor by Herzog & de Meuron, along with neighbouring buildings by Richard Meier, Diener & Diener, Cruz & Ortiz and Giraudi & Wettstein make for an impressive ensemble of urban architecture.

The double-layered façade consists of four parallel glass bands, which are red on the eastern side, blue on the western side and white on the long sides as a tribute to France. With its unusual shape and glass panels, the building resembles an idiosyncratically cut crystal mirror.
