Brunch_Bohemia — Located directly on the Marktplatz, Bohemia has a fantastic brunch menu that includes omelettes, bagels with cream cheese, and scrambled eggs with salmon. They also roast their own coffee and source the beans from sustainable agriculture.

Savour a healthy and hearty organic breakfast in the historic hall at Hotel Gaia, where the emphasis is firmly on regional produce – including freshly baked breads, various cereals, a selection of cheeses, assorted cold cuts, egg dishes and sweet treats.

Brunch Depot Deli Basel — Situated between the Vitra Schaudepot by Herzog & de Meuron and the fire station by Zaha Hadid, the Depot Deli offers meals prepared fresh each day, featuring a varied menu and high-quality, natural ingredients. On Sundays, you can enjoy their six-course local brunch.

Avant-Gouz_3 — The huge range of brunch options on offer have made Avant-Gouz a true brunch hotspot. Well, actually it’s two hotspots – they also have a second location in Basel.

Sunday brunch

After a long night out, you deserve to sleep in and then enjoy a leisurely start to the day.

Fancy a brunch fit for a king? Head to the brasserie of the five-star Les Trois Rois hotel on the banks of the Rhine. They serve a classic breakfast, a huge range of hearty dishes and a wide selection of home-made cakes and pastries.

For those who like to sleep in, the Design & Lifestyle Hotel Nomad offers a generous brunch buffet with coffee, tea, juices and Prosecco every Sunday. You can also enjoy live music while you eat.

Tibits Basel serves up a huge selection of vegetarian brunch specialities. Help yourself to the hearty dishes at the buffet, including rösti and scrambled eggs made with organic eggs, as well as sweeter options like pancakes with maple syrup. All dishes are also available to take away.

At Bio Andreas, the bread is made by hand according to traditional baking methods, and the dough is given plenty of time to prove. On Sunday mornings, the café serves up a generous and delicious selection of Swiss breakfast dishes.

zmorgeland2 — The old market hall in Basel is where people come to chat, shop and, on Sundays, enjoy an extensive brunch. There is something to suit every taste at Zmorgeland, including vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as options for people with food allergies.

At the big buffet at the Basler Papiermühle in the St. Alban-Tal, you can eat as much as you like of the delicious local products they serve up, including plaited loaves, bread, cheese, cold meats, muesli and locally produced honey and jam.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat scrambled eggs, salmon, various bread rolls, cold cuts and much more, with a glass of Prosecco to round off a relaxed start to your Sunday.

Once a month, the Café Bar Pförtnerhaus also opens its doors on Sundays and offers a lavish brunch. Bircher muesli, croissants, homemade Sunday plait, salmon, cheese, cold cuts, cakes and other small, delicious surprises await you in a relaxed atmosphere.

Avocado smoothie, quinoa rolls, caffe latte with soya milk and fresh berries – these are just a few of the delicacies served at Hotel Odelya. They grow a lot of the ingredients in their garden. You can also get a completely vegan brunch on request.

In the spacious Erlenmattpark, the Rosental neighbourhood meeting point offers a fine brunch with local products every Sunday, which is also suitable for families. While parents relax, children can have fun doing crafts or playing in the large playroom.

The lavish brunch at Hotel Schweizerhof ranges from hearty dishes to a selection of salads, culminating with tempting sweets such as chocolate mousse and lemon cheesecake. Please make a reservation: brunch is only served on request!
