Registration or deregistration required.

Swim in the Rhine
Swimming in the Rhine is Basel’s most popular sport in summer. Do as the locals do and experience a special kind of leisure activity. The colourful Wickelfisch swim bag keeps your clothes dry – a swimming bag in the shape of a fish, that was invented in Basel. You can put your clothes in a Wickelfisch swim bag and simply float along on the gentle current through the picturesque Old Town.

Visit the museums of Basel
Nearly 40 Museums with spectacular collections and special exhibitions – this is unique in Switzerland and also top class by international standards. If you want to understand why the people of Basel are crazy about art and why Basel is the art and culture capital of Switzerland, you should visit at least one of them.

ARTour
ARTour Basel is an exhibition of ten augmented reality artworks that can be discovered in the centre of Basel using the free ARTour app. An interactive map shows you where the works of art can be found. You can tour them all or just view individual ones.

Basel Zoo
The Zoological Gardens, known affectionately as “Zolli” by Basel's inhabitants, opened in Basel in 1874 and is home to a large number of indigenous and exotic animals. Basel Zoo is a popular excursion destination and well worth a visit at any time of year.
