ARTour Basel is an exhibition of eleven augmented reality artworks that can be discovered in the centre of Basel using the free ARTour app.

Eleven works that embrace the “Celebrate Life” idea have been created to highlight the theme from totally different perspectives. Subjects addressed range from biodiversity to identity to digital life.
How does it work?
The app
Experience the tour by downloading the app for free from your usual store. An interactive map shows you the locations of the artworks, all of which are in the centre of Basel – you can tour them all or just view individual ones.
Ten artists have created digital works based on the theme “Celebrate Life” to mark Roche’s 125th anniversary. After arriving at one of the locations, you can bring the artwork there to life using your smartphone’s camera. The artworks – digital objects floating in real spaces – are viewable from any angle. You can even interact with some of them.
