Picasso in Basel

Pablo Picasso plays an important role on Basel’s art scene. In 1967, the people of Basel attracted the artist’s attention when they came up with the slogan “All you need is Pablo” – and artworks such as the “Seated Harlequin” have been on display at the Kunstmuseum Basel ever since.

Bell site 

The Bell site in Basel is home to Switzerland’s largest street-art mural, created during the “Change of Colours” event in 2020, when 30 artists transformed a wall measuring 1,700 square metres into a work of art.

Basel Cathedral (MĂĽnster)  

Distinctive red sandstone and slender towers make the cathedral one of the city’s most famous landmarks. With its Romantic and Gothic architecture, this former episcopal church built between 1019 and 1500 still shapes Basel’s skyline to this day.
