The last weekend in August sees some extraordinary scenes near Basel, as the nearby town of Pratteln becomes the stage for an incredible festival of Swiss sports and culture! The Eidgenössisches Schwing- und Älplerfest (ESAF) is a celebration of traditional Swiss wrestling, with exciting matches in Switzerland’s largest arena and the winner crowned king at the end.
