This Wednesday Matinée takes an in-depth look at the multifaceted work of US-American artist Ruth Asawa (1926–2013). Asawa, also known for her public art works and her art education advocacy, dissolved the traditional boundaries between abstraction and figuration, art and craft, action and contemplation. Next to her striking wire and bronze sculptures, we will also explore her drawings, prints and paintings.
