Turn seasonal vegetables into a colourful underwater world in a jar, inspired by Pierre Huyghe’s «Apnea». Experiment, create and take your unique mini aquarium home!
Imagine a carrot becoming a fish and a slice of beetroot turning into coral! In this open workshop, we will cut and shape seasonal vegetables, preserve them in colourful vinegar brine, and create our own underwater world inside a glass jar. Inspired by Pierre Huyghe’s artwork Apnea, where real and imagined things coexist, we ask ourselves: What would our own miniature world in a jar look like?
Experiment, explore, and be amazed: by the end, every glass aquarium will contain its own unique underwater world. Participants can take their miniature aquarium home as a keepsake.
