A contemplative lecture-performance centered around Xôi – steamed sticky rice. The artist invites the audience into a moment of stillness, shared taste, and collective storytelling — exploring food as a vessel of memory and knowledge, cultural practices passed down through generations, and the circular connections that bind us together.

This event takes place as part of «Culinary Infrastructures». Before the performance, the talk Geschmackserinnerungen: Essen als Verbindung with Oliwia Hälterlein, Sarina Tharayil, Yariliza Rickenbacher & Arleny Stegmaier will take place.

Thi My Lien Nguyen (b. 1995) is a Vietnamese-born artist and photographer. Her multidisciplinary practice combines photography, printmaking, moving image, performance, and culinary activations to explore memory, materiality, migration, and belonging. Food serves as both a medium and a space for reflection on diasporic experiences and personal narratives. She is part of the curatorial team at Les Complices* in Zurich and has exhibited her work at Kunstmuseum Thurgau, Athens Photo Festival, and Biennale Sesc_Videobrasil, among others.
