The exhibition is dedicated to the multifaceted work of artist Ruth Asawa (1926–2013). On display are wire and bronze sculptures, drawings, prints, paintings, and works in public spaces. The exhibition highlights Asawa’s education at Black Mountain College, her artistic practice in San Francisco, and her commitment to art education. It is based on an exhibition partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York and is curated by the Fondation Beyeler.
