Talk II explores how culinary spaces foster belonging, care and resilience, with a focus on migration and community. Featuring three guests.
Food connects: it creates spaces for encounter, memory and exchange. The talks explore cooking and food practices as social, cultural and artistic practices. They address questions of belonging, care, migration, sustainability and the possibilities that emerge around the table — as a place for dialogue, collaboration and experimentation.
Talk II: Die Küche als Infrastruktur für Gemeinschaft (in German)
The talk explores how culinary spaces enable belonging, care and resilience. It also focuses on projects intended for cultural practitioners navigating situations of migration, mobility or precarious conditions. The conversation unfolds around forms of hospitality, infrastructures of care and the communal rituals through which connections and communities are created.
Leadora Illmer talks with: Monika Schärer (co-president Cuisine sans frontières), Alexandra Stäheli (director Atelier Mondial) and Nina Šikić (artist, NEXUS Collective)
Following this (ca. 14.30) the performance "I wish, we wish…" by Zahra Hakim takes place.
