The Kandertal railway is a classic branch line of the Rhine Valley Railway in the southern Black Forest region. Only 5 kilometres north of Basel's Badischen Bahnhof at Haltingen, the Kandertal railway branches off and winds its way along the beautiful Kandertal valley to the pottery town of Kandern.
