The Schänzli race track is a particularly popular hotspot, which has become a meeting place for urban artists. Situated very close to the St. Jakob stadium – the home of the local FC Basel football club – it often features motifs created by died-in-the-wool FCB fans. The texts only survive for a short time, and the walls are constantly being re-sprayed by the artists. Anyone visiting the Schänzli just a few weeks after their first visit may therefore find completely different paintings. And it's precisely this change that many find attractive about urban art.
