Basel Badischer Bahnhof is the city's second most important railway station after the Basel SBB central station. All long-distance and regional trains of Deutsche Bahn and Swiss Federal Railways between Germany and Switzerland stop here. It provides connections to the regional lines to Waldshut-Schaffhausen-Singen, Zell im Wiesental, Offenburg and Karlsruhe for an average of 20,000 passengers every working day. It is also part of the network of the Regio-S-Bahn Basel.
