Magical Courtyard Town Hall

A Christmas light show brings the historic paintings to life in the Town Hall’s magical courtyard, creating a tranquil atmosphere all around. Once again this year, a buzzer can be used to help shape and influence the light show on site.

If you’re lucky, there will be a spontaneous choral concert taking place during your visit to the magical courtyard. Another international highlight is the Basel Wish Book, which has been on display in the inner courtyard of the Town Hall during Advent for many years. Citizens and guests from all over the world can write down their wishes here. The book is filled with thoughts, wish lists for Santa Claus and hopes for peace, love and health.

The projection of the light show starts on 28 November at 6.30 pm and runs daily from 5 pm to 10 pm.
