kHaus Basel

The kHaus is a vibrant cultural and community centre. The inspiring architecture and palpable cultural vision within the renovated main barracks building lend your event a special atmosphere brimming with creativity and elegance.

Spanning around 1,400 square metres, the versatile event spaces can accommodate a wide variety of formats – from gala and Christmas dinners to corporate events, seminars and workshops, right through to concerts and shows. An experienced event management team is on hand to advise you on planning and execution.

The kHaus is situated directly on the Rhine promenade, with views of the Rhine and Basel’s Old Town. The outdoor areas do not form part of the kHaus; the adjacent outdoor spaces are public common land. Applications to use these public spaces can be made to the city council.

The building also houses the Amber Bar on the 4th floor of the south tower and the Walther Bistrobar on the ground floor. Both venues operate independently of the kHaus and can be booked separately and directly with their respective operators for pre- or post-show events, for example.
