The renowned architect Richard Meier, who was responsible for projects such as the Getty Center in Los Angeles, completed his first building in Switzerland in 1996: the Euregio Geschäftshaus in Basel.

The area around Basel SBB station is well worth a visit by architecture enthusiasts – not least because of the gleaming white Euregio Geschäftshaus. The four-storey building features a distinctive rounded corner tower, which was created by shifting back the façade.
