Beschreibung
The Botanical Garden of the University of Basel was founded in 1589 by Caspar Bauhin, the first Professor of Anatomy and Botany. It is located next to the Spalentor, near Basel’s historic Old Town. Over 7500 different plant species from all of the Earth’s major biospheres flourish in an area covering 8000 square metres. Visitors can view the plants all year round in various show greenhouses and outdoor areas.
Open daily, including at the weekend and on public holidays.
Dogs are not allowed.
