The Antikenmuseum Basel und Sammlung Ludwig present 5000 years of culture from the Mediterranean region. Antiquity is regarded as being inspiration for modernity – the foundation upon which the world we now live in was built. The special exhibitions and programmes bring these ancient cultures to life.
The museum is located in the city centre and at a second site, the “Skulpturhalle Basel” near the University of Basel.
