Perhaps the most crucial consideration for the Jewish faith is the connection between the city of Basel and Theodor Herzl, who first floated his idea for a Jewish state here in the city.


Tours ending after 6.00 pm are subject to an evening surcharge of CHF 60.
Bookings made less than 24 hours in advance are subject to an express surcharge of CHF 50.
An additional fee of CHF 60 will be charged for extra openings.
