Panoramic view with the big wheel

Take a walk along the riverbank in “Kleinbasel” and you will enjoy a spectacular view of “Grossbasel” (Greater Basel) with its illuminated Big Wheel high over the city’s rooftops.

Drop tower

The freefall tower at Messeplatz offers an unparalleled panorama of the city, but watch out – this is a view that is fleeting at best. The 80-metre drop means that an adrenaline rush and no end of fun are guaranteed.

Thrill rides

In need of another adrenaline kick? Then head for Basel's “Kaserne”, where the thrill rides will turn you on your head, spin you through the air, and generally ensure all the fun of the fair.

Gourmandise & shopping

At Petersplatz, you’ll find a huge range of stalls selling specialities from Basel, handicraft items, delicious bites to eat and an atmosphere that can only be found at the Basel Autumn Fair.

Sweeties at the autumn fair

Whether you like your treats in the form of gingerbread, “Mässmogge” candy, roasted almonds, “Magenbrot” goodies, “Beggeschmutz” chocolate and coconut-covered cream delights or caramels, the Autumn Fair has something for everyone. Discover the lovingly decorated stands and simply soak up the atmosphere.

For the little ones

The Basel Autumn Fair has a whole host of delights for its youngest visitors, too. At Barfüsserplatz, Messeplatz, Kaserne, Petersplatz and Münsterplatz, there are plenty of children's attractions on offer sure to leave kids wide-eyed with wonder.
