Novartis Pavillon
The Novartis Pavillon in the park of the Novartis Campus can be seen even from far away – especially at sunset, when an elaborate light show makes this fascinating building sparkle.
Beschreibung
The sustainably built pavilion was designed by Italian designer and architect Michele De Lucchi.
The transparent ground floor symbolizes openness and is accessible for free. The upper floor houses the “Wonders of Medicine” interactive permanent exhibition, which shows how diseases develop and illustrates the future of medicine.
Every evening, just as the sun is setting, an elaborate light show makes the Novartis Pavillon sparkle for 30 minutes. The electricity for the colourful light patterns is produced by thousands of organic solar cells in the media facade itself.
