This magical courtyard is all about the community. The “Community Christmas” brings people together and encourages them to partake in out-of-the-ordinary activities. You can join in, too.

On entering the Hyve courtyard, you are greeted by an array of lights and the sight of a large Christmas tree (the “Community Tree”) waiting to be adorned with Christmas decorations you either bring with you or obtain after arriving.
The idea behind the Gingerbread Community House, meanwhile, is to join forces to build the largest ever house made of Lebkuchen – a Christmas speciality. The aim is to make the house bigger and bigger – a community project for all visitors to the magical courtyard. Hyve will provide all the raw materials you need.
Anyone who has an ugly Christmas sweater will now finally get the chance to put it to good use. Simply stop by while wearing your Christmas sweater on Thursday, 30 November 2023, get your photo taken, and enter the Ugly Christmas Sweater competition.
Food and drink is available – a pop-up bar will be serving mulled wine, Christmas hot chocolate and winter beer from local brewery Kitchen Brew. There will also be coffee specialities and coffee cocktails created in partnership with local roaster Bean in Progress. As for eats, you can look forward to savouring cheese fondue, cheese tartlets and brownies.
