We are in the middle of a new geological age, the Anthropocene or the Age of Man. For the first time in a very short space of time, only a few centuries, man has become a geological entity capable of radically and permanently changing his natural environment.
The exhibition goes beyond the issues of climate change and the loss of biodiversity and draws attention to the profound changes that the Earth’s system is undergoing. At the same time, technological solutions are proving insufficient to address the problems they themselves have caused. The Anthropocene is therefore a challenge for us all to question and redefine our relationship with nature.
