Disused railway hike Pratteln to Läufelfingen

This hike along the old, disused Hauenstein railway line from Pratteln via Liestal and Sissach to Läufelfingen is a real treat, with plenty to see and discover along the way – not only for train lovers!

Hike through the Hauenstein tunnel to the Rümlingen viaduct and the iron lattice-work bridge. Along the way there are also interesting things to discover from more recent railway history, such as for example the Adlertunnel or the modern railway station at Itingen. You can stop along the way at Pratteln, Liestal, Sissach and Läufelfingen, where you will find information boards containing information on approximate walking times and the history of the old railway.
