1. I loved having a balcony overlooking the Rhine, and watching the changing moods of the river and changing times of day. 2. Very friendly and helpful staff. 3. Dinner in the restaurant was not cheap but the quality was exceptionally good -- superb in fact. 4. Having a fan instead of AC was fine by me; I don't like air conditioning in general. 5. Nice old building. 6. Location was handy for visiting the University, and therefore for the conference I was attending.

Wunderschönes Zimmer in einem sehr gepflegten und stilvollen Hotel! Gute Organisation des Museumsbesuchs (OeV, Tickets Fondation). Ambience beim Nachtessen im Hotel.

Das Einerzimmer ist ansprechend eingerichtet. Ich habe mich sofort wohl gefühlt. Preis-Leistung stimmt absolut. Wunderbarer Frühstücksraum, sehr aufmerksames Personal, Ausblick auf den Rhein ist einmalig. Tee-Angebot auf der Etage habe ich sehr genossen. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Das Hotel hinterließ einen sehr entspannten Eindruck bei mir. Eine schöne Atmosphäre und auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war angenehm schlicht, geschmackvoll und komfortabel gehalten, der Stil ebenso. Und die Aussicht auf Rhein war einfach traumhaft!

Staff were helpful and worked hard to solve problems. Basel is an example to the world of excellent public transportation, walkable and cyclable streets (which the people take advantage of!), good civic maintenance and cleanliness, and of course it's beautiful and historic.
