The EastWest Hotel is situated directly on the Rhine promenade, just a few minutes’ walk across the Mittlere Brücke from Basel’s old town and the famous Basel Cathedral. Sehr gute Betreuung, leckeres Essen, gutes Frühstück Saubere Zimmer, gut nutzbares Bad Zimmertüre sehr gut schallisoliert. Tolle Lage, direkt am Rhein und Straßenbahn Haltestelle 100 m entfernt.

The hotel is in a beautiful location right on the Rhine. Our room looked out towards the river and the picturesque Altstadt of Grossbasel. The room was large, comfortably appointed and clean. The bathroom was large and also very well appointed. The stsff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

What were your positive impressions?
Receptionistin war mässig motiviert am Sonntag Morgen. Am Samstag hingegen war der Receptionist sehr sehr nett. Das Frühstück war am Sonntag nicht zur angegebenen Zeit (08.00) parat (wer auf den Zug muss wäre froh darum), das Angebot aber war gut und ansprechend bereitgestellt. Das Personal im Garten (zwei Männer) waren sehr dienstig, die Frau ebenda (leider schon wieder eine Frau die ich kritisieren muss) schaffte es auch nach längerem Warten meinerseits nicht, meine Bestellung aufzunehmen. Ansonsten werde ich fürs Tattoo gerne wieder hier buchen.

Hat uns sehr gefallen, war auch sehr ruhig so mitten in der Stadt, resp. am Flussufer wo doch immer was los ist. Das Haus wurde sehr gut restauriert. die Denkmalpflegerische Substanz ist gut erhalten.

Das Zimmer und die Einrichtung sind in Ordnung. In einem Zimmer quietschte der Boden. Das Otel ist für den Besuch des Tattos sehr zentral gelegen. Auf der Seite des Rheins aber ist es kaum zu finden.
