Tour on the vintage tram Seat in the open-top summer carriage (without commentaries) Children (3 - 16 years)
Description
Want to see for yourself what it was like to travel around Basel a century ago? A nostalgic round trip on board the vintage tram takes you back to the year dot – with authentic sounds of yesteryear, a bumpy ride, and a top speed of 30 km/h.
The motorized front carriage from the 1920s has 16 seats, with a tour guide providing live commentary in German and English. All passengers in this carriage receive a sanitized headset.
If you’d rather do without the audio commentary and feel the summer wind in your hair, take a seat in the open-top summer carriage behind; built in 1905/1906, it has space for 18 people and is particularly suitable for families.
The vintage tram tours Basel every Sunday from May to September, departing from the Swiss SBB railway station.
