Short guided tour of the Town Hall Language: English Adults

The magnificent 16th century Town Hall on the Marktplatz is still the seat of government for the Canton of Basel-Stadt even today. Here you will encounter a combination of architecture, art and politics. During our 30 minute tour of the impressice rooms of parliament and the cantonal government, we will give you more information about the canton's political history and the current situation.

the Grand Council Chamber is undergoing refurbishment from 30 June to 10 September 2023, so there may be restrictions in place in and around the chamber, public gallery and cloakroom.
