The Responsible Digital Society research network is organizing an “AI-ESC” with only AI-generated music, to highlight the opportunities and possibilities of current AI models. Participants were randomly assigned one of 15 countries and invited to create an AI-generated song in the style of typical Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) entry. At the grand finale event on May 12 at 17:00 in the main auditorium at the Kollegienhaus at the University of Basel, attendees will vote for their favorite song. Continuing on from the contest, an expert panel will discuss the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence for the music industry, and invite questions from the audience.
Attendance is free of charge, registration required. This event will be held in English.
