The Beyeler Collection was given a publicly accessible location in 1997 with the construction of a museum designed by Renzo Piano. Consisting of approximately 230 works, the collection documents the approach of Hildy and Ernst Beyeler to 20th-century art and conveys central artistic aspects of classical modernism ranging from Monet, Cézanne and van Gogh to Picasso, Warhol, Lichtenstein and Bacon.
Museum opening times: Open every day, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. The museum is open on Sundays and on all public holidays.
From September 7, 2014, the Fondation Beyeler present the new GUSTAVE COURBET exhibition. Due to installation and de-installation of the exhibitions, the Beyeler Collection will be open to the public from September 27, 2014.
