Dynamic and successful
According to estimates of BAK Basel Economics, the gross domestic product of the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft has grown by 2.3% per annum to about 97,000 USD per capita dollars between 2000 and 2009. Basel therefore occupies a top global position, both in absolute terms as well as in matters of dynamism.
