Foundation & Aims
The association Basel Tourismus was founded in 1890 as an association of all who have the well-being of Basel and its region at heart.

The purpose of Basel Tourismus is the promotion of tourism in the city of Basel and its surrounding area in close collaboration with the public authorities, partners in the tourist sector and other interested groups.

Our members help us to position Basel in an optimum manner and to achieve our objectives for the benefit of our city. We thank them for their support!
